Sure, the “annual return” stat is a nice headline. But the details are what matter. Collective2 lets you examine all the activity behind a trading strategy before deciding whether it belongs in your brokerage account.

Real strategies from the Collective2 leaderboard (snapshot September 2026). All performance results displayed by Collective2 are hypothetical. Past results do not assure future results.

01

All results are “go-forward”

Signals are submitted and recorded as the strategy operates—not supplied after the fact.

02

The wins. The losses. The record.

Look beyond a single return to examine trades, gains, losses, drawdowns, and available measures.

03

Your judgment stays central

Collective2 provides the evidence and access. You decide what the record means for you.

NO DELETE BUTTON

A Collective2 track record
is a commitment.

There are many ways a “track record” can mislead you. The worst is a backtest: you tell a computer — or an AI — to try out a trading method over the last five or ten years of historical data, and report how it would have performed. Which sounds good in theory, except for one problem: 99% of backtest results land in the wastepaper basket. You only ever see the 1 in 100 that did well. The other 99 are deleted — no trading guru builds a web site showing the 99 ideas that stunk.

Collective2 isn’t like that. We insist strategy managers stand by their track records, in one of two ways: either they show us their real brokerage-account results, for which they risk real money; or they commit to publishing their buy and sell signals on a go-forward basis. No deleting trades. No walking away from a failed strategy — its record stays up whether or not the manager does.

Sure, a record here is still hypothetical — more on that below, and please do read the warning at the bottom of this page about the risks of relying on hypothetical results. But this fact stands: every track record you see on Collective2 was called in real time, on a go-forward basis, or comes from a live brokerage account. No deleting bad trades. No altering results because the manager “would, coulda, shoulda.”

TRUST, BUT VERIFY

The track record is hypothetical.
The prices are real. (Mostly.) (see footnote)

The single, coolest, most awesome feature of Collective2? When we show you a hypothetical track record, we use the real-life trade prices that real subscribers got inside their brokerage accounts, whenever those prices are available.

Why is this good? Most trading strategy web sites “simulate” how a strategy performs. They do this by asking, “What was the market price at the moment this trade recommendation was issued?” And, you know, that’s a pretty decent way of doing things.

Except.

In real life, not everyone gets that first price. When a lot of people follow a strategy, the price gets worse and worse, as more and more people try to buy (or sell).

At Collective2, we have direct electronic communication with brokerage firms. So when we send a published “trade signal” we learn the actual real-life prices that real subscribers received. Then we use the volume-weighted average of these real-life prices in order to calculate the hypothetical track record price you see on C2. Yes, the track record is still hypothetical, and there are still important inherent limitations of hypothetical track records. But we think using real-life trade results is a much better way to show how a strategy performs. (P.S. When no real-life AutoTraders follow a strategy in a live brokerage account, we simulate fills using real-time prices.)

Four trades from the live records of the strategies shown (snapshots Aug–Sep 2026); fill data shown with account identities removed. Fills are timestamped to the second; fills within the same second are spread horizontally so each stays visible — vertical position is always the exact fill price. Strategy track records are hypothetical: they model an account that followed every signal, and your results would differ. Weighted-average re-marking applies where subscribers AutoTraded the signal. Past results do not assure future results.

Collective2 uses the real-life prices of AutoTraders that follow a strategy to calculate the price shown in a trading track record. Track records on Collective2 must still be considered hypothetical because, among other reasons: there is no single real-life brokerage account that looks exactly like a Model Account track record on Collective2; not all trades are followed by real-money brokerage accounts (in cases where no AutoTraders follow a strategy, C2 uses real-time bid or ask prices to simulate likely prices), individual AutoTraders may start and stop trading at any time, apply their own stop-losses and profit targets, and increase and decrease the sizes at which they trade. Collective2 track records are hypothetical. Please read the warnings about hypothetical results at the bottom of this page. Trading is risky and not appropriate for everyone.

01

Go-forward, never backtested

A record starts when the strategy goes live and grows signal by signal. Nothing is reconstructed from historical simulations after the fact.

02

Anchored to real executions

When subscribers AutoTrade, the record’s fill prices are re-marked to the volume-weighted average of the prices their brokers actually reported — not left at the manager’s quoted price.

03

Verifiable down to the penny

Every fill behind a price stays listed on the trade — broker, size, price, and time, with account identities removed. Open a strategy’s trade history and check.
