Open Position
Social Media Manager (Systematic Trading / Copy Trading / Fintech)
Goal
Build trust in a space where people fear losing money! (Sometimes justified, alas.)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Social Media Manager who understands finance and trading, and can create high-quality, trust-building content across Reddit, YouTube, X (Twitter), and (yuck) LinkedIn while working within the constraints of U.S. financial-services regulation. Have you ever played tennis with a broken racquet? That's sort of like marketing financial services in the USA while respecting regulations - it's challenging, but the challenge makes it fun!
This is not a typical social media role. Strong writing, smart positioning, and trading experience are critical.
You Must Be Human
Listen - we love AI as much as the next guy. But we value human personality, filled with rough edges and unique perspectives, even more. That means no AI cover letters, posts, or responses. Look, man, we know AI bullshit when we see it. If you send it to us, we'll just trash it. Be real. Be human. Have a personality. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Responsibilities
- Create and publish content across Reddit, X, YouTube, and, lastly, LinkedIn.
- Build and grow a Reddit community while managing daily engagement.
- Write clear, engaging posts explaining trading and copy trading concepts.
- Answer questions and participate in discussions on Reddit.
- Build trust through educational and transparent content.
- Monitor comments, messages, and community sentiment.
- Track performance and suggest improvements.
Requirements
- 2-5+ years of experience in social media or content, ideally in finance or trading.
- Strong understanding of trading, investing, and markets.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex financial topics.
- Experience with Reddit.
- Familiarity with compliance and U.S. financial marketing guidelines.
Nice to Have
- Experience with copy trading platforms.
- Basic design and video skills.
- Experience growing an audience.
Compensation
Part-time (~15 hours/week, give or take) - $2,500 per month.
How to Apply
Please apply using the application form and submit:
- Examples of content you've created (finance-related preferred)
- An example (imaginary, not real) post on social media platform of your choice, replying to a person who trashes Collective2 (max 300 words)
- At least 1 real-life sample post you're proud of (LinkedIn or Twitter) from personal accounts or business/contracts - any field, any subject matter
We value clarity, honesty, brevity, and personality over buzzwords.
